Rhino liner

I picked the Ural up yesterday. The Rhino Liner looks pretty good. Not perfect, but the slight imperfections fit with the general look of the bike. :) It is still outgassing a bit; it has that fresh paint smell. I reinstalled the horn, and the wiring for the lights is on the frame so it didn't have to come off. So the only thing that's not back in, is the accessory power outlet. Which I plan to change. I just need to decide how I want to do it.

Bees in the basement

Two weeks ago we started to see a lot of dead and dying bees in the basement. Today I had the exterminator out. Turns out they are yellow jackets and we have an extremely active nest in the wall next to the chimney. Which they sprayed but good.

The exterminator says it will take 4 to 7 days for the activity to die down. We should stay out of the basement for the rest of the day because they may be invading the basement in greater numbers today. In a couple days I can go down there with the shop vac and clean up. We should not close the entrances to the nest, though, until next spring. Because even with the queen gone, eggs are going to keep hatching in there, and they won't die immediately - they will need to get out. If we close the hole, they'll all come into the basement.
