Anyone want some patterns?

I just went through my file cabinet and pulled out a whole sack full of patterns to purge. Mostly women's dresses. Most are 12-14-16 but there are sizes from 8 to 22 in here. Formal dresses, wedding dresses, and some things in a funky 80's youth style that I still like but can't imagine where I'd wear them 20 years later. Some are very dated, others less so. After all most of what people wear now looks dated to me - it all comes around again. Some things that I don't like at all, can't recall ever liking, and don't know why I have them. Most are unused but a few of them I did make, which means they were altered to add height. Nothing that's less than ten years old.

Does anyone here sew, and if so do you want these? If I find no takers, I'll probably just pitch them.

80s stuff is now "retro". Get someone to sew 'em up in your size and you'll be the hit of the party. :-)

I kept twice as many patterns as I purged, including some that could be called "retro".

Next, I need to tackle my fabric stash.

I sew, am in that pattern size, and am wanting to make some new stuff. Can they wait 'til Labor day weekend? If so, I'll get them then - if not, feel free to find them another home. :)

"Need" is such a loaded term. :)

My fabric stash is sadly low, so I'll say yes, with the caveat that I can't do animal hair fibers (such as wool or wool blends, or cashmeres, or that sort of thing), so feel free to find those a lovely home elsewhere.

Yes I'm a seamstress/designer. I collect patterns and sewing stuff -- probably far more than I'll ever use lol. If someone wants the specific things you have, great, otherwise I'll happily give them a home.

Well, tell ya what. Since tanac spoke first, I'll let her take her pick over labor day. I'll take what's left to Tios for drumpenguin to pick through, and after that I'll box up anything left and ship it to Houston.
