Jan. 19th, 2004 01:14 amMy friend Mike came up here from Cincinnati this weekend and helped me work on my garage. We made lots of progress.
I still haven't found an electrician who is willing to install the new circuit breaker panel I need, so we just ran the wires to the boxes and left them hanging. Then we put up most of the insulation and drywall. We left a couple feet of wall open in the corner where the wires will either go to the subpanel, or down the wall and into the basement and over to the main panel. And I still need to put insulation around the door and cover it with something.
I may not get any more insulation or drywall installed this winter, but at least now I've got most of the walls up, so that I can just live with it as is, indefinitely, if I have to.
Phil and Jennifer came over with a computer that Jennifer's dad gave them, and worked on it here, and got it functioning. And they helped with the drywall. This is good; it meant no one person had to swing a hammer for too long, and none of us should be too sore tomorrow.
I managed to stay away from my computer for the better part of two days. Maybe this will help chase away the pain in my neck.
