Dangerous memes

I suggest that before you post answers to a meme, and give info about someone else in your friends list, you check to see if that is information they want shared. Just a suggestion. No one has posted anything about me that bothers me, but I am concerned that this could create strife and it's just not worth it.

I assume you're talking about the most recent one going around - the one that asks questions about other LJ members. I was very careful about what I said, and actually ran the generating macro twice before even starting because I was afraid of what some folks' reactions would be to some of the questions. If things hadn't come out the way they had on the "spin" that I posted, I probably wouldn't have done it, because I share your concerns.

I've seen it in a lot of journals, and some of the folks picking it up are not so careful. Thought I'd speak up before it got any more popular. :-)
