Smoke detectors

Last night we were awakened in the middle of the night by our smoke detectors going off. They stopped after thirty seconds or so, and there was no smoke, but they went off twice more while we were looking for the problem. We then sat up for an hour looking online for advice, finding nothing conclusive. We went back to bed and they did not go off again, but sheesh, I am wrecked this morning. I hope we don't have any more rounds of this. :(

The house is less than three years old. We are not supposed to have crazy problems!
