Robot vacuum part 2
Jul. 9th, 2019 09:02 amWow, for all that our house does not look very dirty, it is managing to fill its dust compartment pretty quickly. And it doesn't tell us when it is full; when it can't hold any more it just pushes dust bunnies into piles and leaves them, which is how we noticed it had filled SO FAST on its first round in the living room. So far it has not run out of charge and gone back to base, without me pushing the Home button on the remote to get it to stop and be emptied. I guess it will catch up eventually. We emptied the compartment four times yesterday.
Update, 1pm... I set it going again, around 11am, and this time it ran until it went "home" on its own. At which point the compartment was full but not as tightly packed as yesterday. I left it turned on and it should start again when it finishes charging. We'll see if the next round gives dwindling returns. When it does, then I will move it along to the basement.

Date: 2019-07-10 05:05 pm (UTC)I have not had to clean the wheel axles, though. I just empty the dust bin. I did have to cut a little bit of long hair from the beater bar, once. But since I have been a shorthair since before we moved into this house, my world has nowhere near as many four-foot long hairs as it used to. Dagibbs may find he has more problems with that. This tiny beater bar would be defeated by about a quarter as much hair as my old conventional vacuum used to get wound up in it.
