Steve arrived home about 9pm on Monday night. He had a great trip. Lots of weather, but nothing he couldn't handle. He wore his electrics every day except the day he rode west out of Flagstaff. There was fog in New Mexico on the way out and snow in Colorado on the way home. He visited two motorcycle museums and also found an unadvertised car museum in Kearney Nebraska.
When he changed his oil on Tuesday he realized his rear tire was not just squared off, it had cords showing. He is getting new tires installed this afternoon.

Date: 2019-12-05 06:49 pm (UTC)Yikes! I had that happen to me in Zion National Park in Utah. The heat of the desert (Death Valley) plus high speeds earlier in the trip had virtually melted my rear tire. I limped it 100 miles to the nearest motorcycle shop that had a tire.
I'm glad Steve was OK!
(Why yes, I am bored at work and reading your blog. It's probably time I get back to doing something they pay me for, though. Big hugs!)
