Last year I got the Liberty Trike and it has been great. Real world range has been at least 20 miles; I only have to charge it once a week or so. Everything is really well sorted.
Meanwhile Steve has had some intermittent trouble with a pinched nerve that sometimes makes it hard for him to walk far, so he has been accompanying me around town on my old Razor. The Razor's batteries are getting tired, it will only go about two miles now. It is showing its age in other ways as well. The brakes are crap, the rear wheel has a hop, etc. I decided it would be fun to upgrade it by installing the same powerplant, battery, and brakes as the trike. But then Liberty Trike offered me a discounted refurb trike for less than the parts would have cost. So I just bought it.
Well it has been super fun owning two of them! Anyone who wants to come over and go riding with me, please do! I am teaching my neighbor to drive it, too.
So with the departure of the Super10 rig I am considering adding to the trike fleet. I have been having fun looking for other configurations. I'm especially interested in things with two wheels in front, or leaning trikes, or tandem trikes. This is a fun internet rabbit hole. :-)
