Horseless carriages and foam
Sep. 13th, 2018 01:26 pmRemember in past years I posted about seeing tin lizzies going past the house? Well, it turns out Steve knows some of those folks. The group is called the Horseless Carriage Club of America and Steve set it up for the library to provide parking for their lunch stop in Dexter last Thursday, with overflow parking here at our place. It was awesome, about 30 cars came by and hung out for a while. We had a Stanley Steamer in our driveway.
Anyways, between the cars and the bikes, a lot of garage rags were used, and Steve washed a load of them last night. And our washing machine suffered a foam overflow, which we believe was due to rags with dish soap that had been used to clean up after all the oil that has been spilled here lately. The washing machine whipped the foam until it was like meringue and formed stiff peaks, and it started oozing out everywhere. Amazing that foam can get so stiff!
All's well that ends well and we have managed to clean up the foam. But for a while it was like the Cat in the Hat and I was looking for the VOOM. :-)
