Weekend before last we saw the same guy on a BMW R1200S go by, probably 10 times. He never looked our way and never stopped, but we speculated. Does he live nearby? What is he up to?

Well this past weekend a guy came to the library in a pickup, spotted our open garage and came over to say hello. He said he has an R1200S. He was that guy. He is doing some repairs on a house nearby. And he offered Steve two free motorcycles. So Steve went out to his place to see. He came back with phone pictures to show me.

“Here is the shed they are in.”
“That is not a shed, it’s a bush.”
“We cut down the tree so we could get the door open...”

Two Hondas from the 1970s. The 350 “ran when parked” but the 500 was already a parts bike when parked. At least the wheels turn and they both have titles. Stored in a shed, so only medium rusty; they might be possible to clean up. The guy delivered them here. We are looking for someone to pass them on to, so if you want a free project motorcycle just come over and get it.

If the 350 is a 350 Four, those are fetching a fair bit of coin these days. Had one as a first bike, 1985-88 or thereabouts.

Bet you're glad to have the space back. I know plenty of people whose garages have various friends' projects taking up space in them.
