It's been raining off and on all day. About a half an hour ago, between showers, I saw a pickup go by, towing a small blue antique convertible with a long strap. I think it was a KharmannGhia though I am not very good at identifying cars. The top was down and a man was at the steering wheel. He waved as he went by. Was it someone we know? He was gone before I could look closely enough to recognize him.

I hope they got to where they were going, before the rain came on again. And that where they were going has a roof.

I had a 1973 Karmann Ghia when I got out of high school, until I wrecked it. :P It was my Granddad's, and it was dented in the front and back body because people kept trying to park on top of it where it was invisible in the parking space! No air conditioning in Houston, so it was pretty miserable during my post-HS summer, but it was still a fun car while it lasted. With 4 people in it, two of whom were around 225# each, I got it up to 92mph on the freeway. Probably a record for that particular car. :D

True Fact: I had a high school classmate, back in the dawn of time, named Maria de Karmann Ortiz - She went by "Karmann," although the school kept spelling it "Carmen," as they are wont to do. She was named thus by her father because she was concieved in...
