New tree is installed

Two trucks, each with a trailer, and five guys. That's what it took to install the new tree. One trailer was full of trees and the second trailer held a bobcat. They used the bobcat to pull out the root ball of the old tree, and put it into the back of one of the trucks. Then they used the bobcat to take a tree off the trailer and put it in the hole. They tucked in a little dirt around it, and put up some stakes and cables to support it upright. Steve went out to water it in but they said it's been so wet it isn't needed, and if it doesn't rain within a week, to water it then.

It is some variant of elm an Accolade Elm. The trunk is about 2" diameter; not as large as some trees I have commonly seen installed as new street trees, but still bigger than I'd want to install without a bobcat. I hope this one takes better than the old one.
