The first egg appeared today.

Yesterday we lowered the blind in the office. The slats are open, so I can still see out, but having them down seems to have made the window less of a target. Or maybe it's just the fact the we have so much people activity out there, power washing the porch and working on garage projects and stomping past the nest. Perhaps the bird is too busy reacting to the human activity, to worry about his reflection. At least nobody is getting dive-bombed, so far.

24 hours later there is a second egg...

48 hours later, a third.

Skip a day, and now there's a fourth. The last egg looks bigger than the others, for some reason.

It's interesting that the eggs are laid one (or less) per day. I guess you can tell I'm not a farmer; they probably would expect this pattern. I wonder if they'll take several days to all hatch, as well? I have no idea. The eggs always seem to all hatch at once, in books, and that's my only source of knowledge about this.
