Territorial robin
Apr. 19th, 2016 09:37 amWe have a very territorial robin. He's bashing at my office window; I think he sees his reflection there. Alternately he is bashing at other windows on the front of the house, and windows on the neighbor's house.
I suppose it's temporary - when the baby birds leave the nest (which I have not spotted) he will move along. But it's startling to have these intermittent attacks on the window right in front of my desk. I get up and go out on the porch and shoo him away but a little while later he's back, making a mess on the porch. We have been cleaning bird crap off the porch for the last week.
If the painter ever comes to paint the porch, I think I should put paper over the windows for the duration. Give the paint a little time to cure before it gets crapped all over.
