I just sold my good bicycle on craigslist. I am sad, but I can't ride it anymore and it's spring cleaning time so it had to go. It turns out there are a lot of people who collect older bicycles and are interested in machines like this. The guy who bought it wanted to know if I still had the factory pedals, because he wants to make it original. LOL! No. Bicycles are sold with crappy pedals because everyone changes them - why would I have kept those gritty things? I didn't keep the Biopace chainrings either.

I put the ad up yesterday afternoon, and as usual a scammer contacted me within the hour. Delete. No real buyers contacted me until today, but from 8:30 to 10am this morning I was getting texts about it from multiple people. I would just drop back to sleep and my phone would chirp again. I finally got up since there was no point in trying to sleep any more.

I think most bike-shop bikes come without pedals these days, for that matter.

I don't know if solo motorcycles are still a thing that interests you at all, but the new Africa Twin with DCT seems to work well both on road and off, and comes with some low seat options that might mean it's manageable... You don't need to use your foot to change gear at all, with no bolt on kit required. I don't know whether it would be compatible with your MS, but it seems to be a really popular bike and a lot smaller and lighter than your last Adventure bike...
