No more bicycle
Apr. 17th, 2016 01:10 pmI just sold my good bicycle on craigslist. I am sad, but I can't ride it anymore and it's spring cleaning time so it had to go. It turns out there are a lot of people who collect older bicycles and are interested in machines like this. The guy who bought it wanted to know if I still had the factory pedals, because he wants to make it original. LOL! No. Bicycles are sold with crappy pedals because everyone changes them - why would I have kept those gritty things? I didn't keep the Biopace chainrings either.
I put the ad up yesterday afternoon, and as usual a scammer contacted me within the hour. Delete. No real buyers contacted me until today, but from 8:30 to 10am this morning I was getting texts about it from multiple people. I would just drop back to sleep and my phone would chirp again. I finally got up since there was no point in trying to sleep any more.

Date: 2016-04-18 03:03 pm (UTC)I think the new VFR1200X DCT would make a better sidecar tug than the current Super10. But I have too much sunk cost in the Super10 rig, to consider a switch at this time. Realize that adding a sidecar, you basically have to spend the price of a second bike.
