elizillaLast night the weather here was as perfect as it could possibly be, for bike night. So Depot Town was packed. Unfortunately, the fair weather brings out two crowds I could do without: Extremely loud pipes, and stuntas. I wonder how long we'll be welcomed by the Depot Town merchants, and how long until the police presence gets super intense?
It's not just that I don't belong to those subgroups. I'm not in the subgroup for giant front wheels and airbrushing, either, but I enjoy seeing their machines. Same for the extended swingarm Hayabusa crowd. And the bikes with the colored lights hidden underneath, to make them look like spaceships. I'm happy to see all those guys and the bikes are interesting, at least until they turn on their engines and it turns out they have straight pipes.
Those stuntas are going to bring the police in, and when the police arrive they're going to start enforcing the parking rules, and the number of bikes that can squeeze in will be cut in half, and the hobnobbing aspect I enjoy so much will be disrupted. Not that the loud pipes aren't already becoming a major disruption. And if even the other motorcyclists are annoyed by those idiots, how long will the non-riders put up with it? Grrrr.
