Fredi the son of a Ho-Bo
Jun. 2nd, 2015 09:26 amFredi the son of a Ho-Bo stopped by last week. That's what he calls himself. He's 95 years old, and is driving around Dexter in his truck, selling copies of his self-published autobiography that his daughter and granddaughter helped him put together. Quite the raconteur. He stayed here for about an hour. His father was a "Ho-Bo", he was born in a blind pig and grew up in a chicken coop. He sold more Fords than anyone until he went to jail for some kind of financing shenanigans that were not quite clear to us. And so on. Steve bought the book, and it has pennies glued to the pages inside, for no reason I can figure out. It's quite attractively printed up and I have been leafing through it. The writing seems pretty decent too; it's less confusing than the man himself. Maybe I will find out what he really went to jail for.

We have areas like that in San Pedro-the stream channel was filled, but the contours are still directing water down the same path. Ver disconcerting if ones house is in the way!
