I have discovered a workaround for whatever it is that is preventing me from posting. If I start a new entry, the button at the bottom to post it, is greyed out and I can't post. If I leave the page and come back later, it asks me if I want to restore saved draft. If I say "no" and just start a new post, the post button is still greyed out. But if I say "yes", the post button is available and I can post.

Apparently they want people to think twice before posting. Write a draft, and come back later.
