It fits well enough, in the stock size, that I am considering just keeping it as is.

The new version of the suit has no lining. The outside is the only side, and it's carefully seam-sealed, supposed to be much more waterproof. Also supposed to be more breathable. Hopefully it'll be better against the skin than that terrible black lining fabric in my old one. That stuff used to glue to my skin the minute I sweated even a little. Wearing the inside of the cordura against my skin might be scratchy but it can't be any worse than sticky.

Since there's no lining anymore, the pockets to hold the armor are also gone. There are large velcro patches and the armor is stuck to them.

I had to peel the elbow armor off the velcro patches and move it. It's clearly designed so that this can be done; the velcro patches on the inside of the elbows are around about four inches longer than the ones on the armor, which gives a lot of scope for moving it around. But dayum the velcro is strong; peeling the armor to move it is super difficult, especially on the inside of the arms where there's so little room. I moved it about two inches lower, and it's actually pretty good there. I might move it a little more but it's already much improved and I have to rest before I fight it again. I also peeled the shoulders and moved them about a quarter inch forward, and improved those too.

It's short enough in the back that it's a challenge to reach down to my ankles to zip it down there. I am considering getting just one alteration, the back ellipse, for this reason, but not sure. Maybe it'll soften up and get easier. I will try it on a few more times before I decide. I'll wait for tomorrow or the next day to do it. I put it on three times so far and it was easier each time, but that is enough for me tonight; it's a bit tiring.

My original plan was to have a custom color, but custom colors make the suits non-returnable just like custom sizes do, and I expected to need custom sizing, so I got the fitment suit in black and red simply so it can go back. It's a pretty decent color choice, and at two to three months turnaround every time they go back, I'm tempted to just keep it as is.
