Today I am taking a computer based course about sexual harassment. I have to take this course before Nov 30, it is required. The comical part is that I work at home so I don't have any coworkers here to get into these sticky personal situations with.

Update: I'm having a tough time with this course. I've spent too much time around people who make big distinctions between the definitions of "gender" and "sex" so I keep seeing nuances of meaning where the authors of this course didn't intend them. This is forcing me to read more slowly, which puts me in proofreading mode, and I keep finding grammatical errors. At least I have figured out how to turn off the sound, so I can fly through the slides more quickly without having to wait for the read aloud voices to keep up.

well, presumably you have access to colleagues via email and such, and you do have face to face meetings from time to time. Sexual harassment can take place via email--e.g., forwarding sexually oriented jokes, or propositioning someone via email.

I think its a due diligence but they have to cover phone and email interaction too.

Yeah, it is propably kinda redundant -- you're probably already pretty aware of the issues, if not more so.

And, yes, sex and gender aren't the same...hm...maybe you could complain about the material being harrassing because of it's lack of distinction of these things? :)
