Anyone wanna go to a play?
Oct. 26th, 2004 12:56 amMichael is trying to get a group of people together to go see a show called _Art_ at Meadowbrook Theater. Anyone interested?
Here's his writeup:
-- I recently saw the show _Art_ at Meadowbrook theatre, and was
highly impressed with the cast and overall performance of the
show. _Art_ is the story of three old friends who are dealing
with changes in their friendship. The plot line is focused
around a picture on the men recently bought - as one character
sez: "It's white, and if you look closely you can see faint
white lines".
Overall the show is a comedy, but has quite serious moments. The
interaction amoung the three actors is extreamly well done. At
one point I was laughing so hard I started to slip out of my chair.
So, I'm wondering - is there any interest in a group outing to
see this show? The show starts at 8pm most evenings, and runs
about 90 minutes (no intermission), and is at Meadowbrook
theatre located on the campus of Oakland University. With all
the Halloween activities going on, I'm thinking of Thursday,
November 4th as a possible night. I know this is first
Thursday, so if folks have another night they'd prefer please
let me know.
Interested? Please reply to me in email or via phone.
DISCLAIMER: I've worked for Meadowbrook theatre in the past,
and John Woudstra did the lighting design (John is a close
friend - and a former co-conchair of ConFusion). The show
is three men talking, and strong language is used throughout
the show.
