Dead personal desktop
Dec. 2nd, 2013 08:21 pmRemember on 11/15 I posted that I had a new personal desktop computer?
Well, this afternoon it slowed to a crawl. Task manager didn't show anything using much memory or CPU, but it sure was acting like I had used up all the system resources somehow. I rebooted it and it came up demanding I insert the windows install disk, reboot, run from disk, and run "repair". It did come with a windows install disk, but it won't boot from it. It just hangs.
I guess tomorrow I will see if I can get any useful support from the manufacturer. They did have good reviews for their support. Hopefully they'll be helpful here.
In the meantime I'm back to running on my former PC, with its intermittent noise and hard disk errors.
