Aerostich Roadcrafter
Dec. 5th, 2012 10:28 pmBack on Nov 1 I ordered an Aerostich Roadcrafter suit. They just started offering them in women's sizes, within the last few months, and this is something I have wanted for years so I am an early adopter. They said they can do all the same alterations to the women's suits, that they have always done for men, so I took them at their word and ordered my suit with lengthened arms, lengthened legs, a lengthened back, and forward rotated sleeves. Yes, it was going to cost a fortune, but I'm a freak of nature so I always have to pay more - I have had to get used to it. They told me it would be four weeks to production.
Well, today they called me to say they can't do forward rotated sleeves in a women's size suit - they made a mistake when they said women could have what men can have. But I didn't just order it like that because I thought it would be prettier - I need to drive the bike; I'm not sitting on the passenger seat with my arms at my side. The standard size 12 suit they sent me for fitting, had a pressure point on the upper arms when I reached for the bars.
I'm letting them send me a size 14 suit to try on, but at this point I may just be getting my money back. I am very disappointed. I thought I was gonna get this suit that I have wanted for years. Years! I should not have let myself get so excited. Sigh.

I've heard really good things about them and they at least look like they're making a real effort to make a nice looking well fitting suit for women.
