I'm an admin for an email list. I also use gmail. I forward my mail from other addresses to gmail, then use their POP server to download mail from there to Thunderbird. For years, I have known that gmail will not reflect my message back to me, when I send them to a mailing list, because it buries them in the threaded part of their web client and it assumes I already have a copy of the message in my sent items folder and I don't need to see it come back from the list. No matter how you configure your mailing list subscription, you don't get your mail back from the list. I've explained this to the people who write to me about it, in my role as list admin, about a hundred times.
But about an hour ago, I started seeing my mail come back to me, on one of the lists I belong to. Something appears to have changed at gmail!
Is anyone else seeing this with their list email?

In a word, no. Never have seen that, on any of the lists I subscribe to, maybe because I don't dump mail to T-Bird or Eudora or anything. MoronMail has always showed my list posts in the thread they're part of and thread-originating posts in the "Morons" filter window.
Maybe it am just you?
