This morning I stopped at the grocery store near my house. There's an empty store next door that used to be a fabric store, and for a few months it's been a Half Price Books. The book store was having a closing sale over the last few weeks. This morning there were new signs in the window of this store that said "Coming Soon! Harbor Freight!" Ruh-roh. More danger to the budget.

Well, okay, I guess that's possible since you already have a book inventory greater than most HPB stores....

The party went quite cooly.

Harbor Freight sells cheap imported tools. Their mail order catalogs are full of screaming deals on things I wouldn't buy from such a place if I couldn't hold them in my hands and examine them first. But with a store right here I can pick through the junk and find the things worth buying.

Skiing went well. Weather was good, snow conditions good. Nine of the twelve expected people showed up, so the condo was the right size.

...that reminds me, I need to acquire an air compressor and a setup that will allow me to change my own motorcycle tires. Beats paying a shop ludicrous amounts of money to do it. I'm about 1/2 - 2/3 of the way through the first set of tires on the B12 at 6,000 miles.
