elizillaI got my inexpensive power wheelchair today. It is a Merits P320. I selected it since it seemed to have smoother joystick controls than the others in the class. But really they are all much the same. The seat is so much like a desk chair, you would hardly know the difference. It seems like, if you wanted to upgrade it, you could just modify a Steelcase Leap to fit on there, and get all the adjustable back support and whatnot.
I have been piloting it around the living room and I like it. It is nice to roll up to the window and look out, for no reason except that I feel like it. I have long been out of the habit of moving around the room any more than I had to.
And now that I have the power chair I have scheduled my Covid booster. Because now I don’t have to worry if I can’t walk safely for a day or so while recovering from the jab.
