Did someone rob a fireworks store?

For the last three hours, since before the sun went down, fireworks have been going off somewhere not too far away. It's like July 4th out there tonight, but on July 4th the fireworks go on and on because lots of different people are lighting them. I don't think September 26th is a big fireworks night, and as far as I know, war has not broken out in southeast Michigan. So I assume this ongoing set of bangs is all coming from the same place. Did they rob a fireworks store? Win the lottery and spend it all on things that go boom?

It doesn't bother me. They can light fireworks all night for all I care. I am just starting to wonder at how much this must have cost!
