I just received this in my email. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say. I just talked to him a few days ago, we were talking about taking a trip next summer. He sounded a bit better. He had gone back to work recently, which was good, and he was settling into a new place. Now he's gone. I don't know what to do.

I'm Christie L------, a friend of Iain O'Cain's. You are all either part
of a group of friends who opted into the same LJ filter as I did to in
order to offer support to Iain during his recent difficulties or I've
been given your name as a friend of Iain's. I'm sorry to have to tell
you that today we found out that Iain killed himself sometime in the last
day or two. Friends and family became concerned when nobody could contact
him and he was discovered a few hours ago. I have no more details to
offer at this time.

I only met Iain after he'd moved to Edmonton and I don't know many of his
friends from other times and places so I'd like to ask your help in
passing on the sad news to anyone you know who cares about him.

My thoughts are with all of you and with Iain's other friends and family.
