This morning I had my regular dental cleaning and checkup. No cavities, yay!

They wanted to give me a fluoride treatment; they think adults with lots of crowns should have it. I agreed to have it, expecting it to be that thing where they put the fluoride gel on a tray and put it in your mouth, and you sit with it in there, drooling, until the timer goes off. It's disgusting but tolerable.

Well, that's not what it was. This fluoride treatment was a new thing where they paint your teeth with some stuff, and then just leave it in there, you go home with it on your teeth. You're not supposed to drink any hot beverages for 24 hours; no hardship since I don't normally drink them anyways.

I feel like I've been chewing a crayon. It has been slowly flaking off all day. Very weird.

I hope I don't get a shocking bill.
