Nov. 14th, 2013 02:16 pmWork continues, in the house across the street. They must have finished their demolition, since the last full dumpster they sent away has not been replaced. They have two pickups and a car over there right now. My tool-selling neighbor tells me he will not be in his office tomorrow because it is the first day of deer season. I wonder if the home remodel will also come to a dead stop tomorrow?
The for-sale house next door, still has the sign out front, but the owner's daughter is in the process of moving in.
I don't know if I have posted about this before, but there's a 20-something guy named Greg who rides an orange CBR and lives in an apartment over the coney island on the corner. He just finished the motorcycle mechanic program at the local community college. The bike is parked on the street when he is home, but he rides it everywhere he goes. I see him go by here a couple times a day. Anyway, on Tuesday night (in the snow!) Greg came to the door and asked if he could pull his bike into the garage and work on it, because he had a flat tire. Turns out the tire was down to the cords all the way around. But he had a spare wheel with a better tire on it. Not new, and in fact the other tire didn't hold air either, but at least it had tread. He walked home and got it, and put a plug in it, and installed it on the bike. It must be working out for him; I've seen him go by twice today.
