The forms crew arrived about ten minutes before 9. They moved gravel around out there and put out the perimiter forms. The crew chief worried that we may need a second truck and if so that will cost extra. But he eventually decided it is going to be OK. He has wandered off somewhere now, and the four other guys have been standing on my sidewalk drinking Monster for the last half hour or so. I don't know if they are waiting for something, or if this is just their normal break. They didn't put any interior walls for the forms. Maybe that comes later.

The concrete truck is here and they just poured the whole section from garage to sidewalk, as one big slab. Now they are pouring from sidewalk to street.
They are blocking the whole road and all the cars are having to turn around and go back. (Including a big garbage truck. No idea why a garbage truck came down my street, since our trash day is Fridays.) Bicyclists are riding on the neighbor's grass, across the street. No one seems to be too upset, fortunately.

Uh oh! Looks like they ran out. There's about 20 sq ft in the corner by the street, that's not yet filled, and the concrete truck just drove away. I suppose that will be the corner that first develops cracks. Oh well, that's probably also the corner that will get messed up by snowplows and street repaving and trucks running over it.
I'm watching them put the expansion joints in the parts that are done.

The second truck came and they finished about an hour ago. It looks nice.
They said I can walk on it this evening, but don't drive cars on it for a couple days. I am supposed to water it with the hose, morning and night, starting tomorrow morning, for the next three days.
It's a couple inches higher than the lawn on either side. I could get some topsoil trucked in and level the lawn, plant grass there. Or a truckload of mulch. I'll decide later. Mainly I just don't want to leave it like that because I could fall off it while getting in and out of my car.
Edited to add: The crew chief guy just came out. He says they will come out tomorrow to remove the stakes and forms from the edges, and they will bring some topsoil and level the edges.
