In other news...
I still can't find my checkbook. My credit union's check printer won't let me order checks online with my new address, without intervention from the credit union, and the credit union says I gotta come to the branch for that. So today I ordered checks from Checks Unlimited. I used to order from them years ago, when I used to write hundreds of checks every year, so I know they're a real company.
Amazon is amazingly fast. I ordered a new laser printer on Monday and the FedEx truck just dropped it off. The price of these printers has dropped a lot - this one was $86 with free shipping. Yes, I know, a new toner cartridge will be $50, but I print so infrequently that the starter cartridge will last years, and the $50 replacement cartridge will last years, too. Seldom-used laser printer cartridges don't dry out like the inkjets, so this is the way to go.
The other things I ordered on Monday aren't here yet, but the day is yet young.
