Strangers with cameras
Nov. 6th, 2012 03:08 pmMy neighbor, John Larkin, is like a one-man neighborhood watch. He just came over to tell me that this morning, some random stranger was out front taking pictures of my house with his cell phone. He said the guy took a half dozen photos of the house, from various points on the street, and then got in his car and drove away. WTF?
So we were standing out on the sidewalk looking at the house and trying to figure out what would interest a random stranger. I suggested that maybe they like our maple tree. We have a maple tree whose colors peak very late every year, and it is stunning right now, even as all the other trees on our street are bare of leaves. So we were staring at the tree, and John noticed we have another paper wasp nest. This one is two or three feet higher, so hopefully no one will find it with their head, the way our next door neighbor Bernard found the last one. I guess paper wasps really want to live in that tree. I'll have to let
redrunn know when he gets home, since he's the brave one here.
But John did not think this person was photographing paper wasp nests.
