Suburban Wildlife
Jun. 27th, 2012 10:27 pmPaper wasps built a nest in our maple tree, just five feet above the ground. Our next door neighbor was the first to discover this, today, when he brushed that branch with his head, while working on his grass. redrunn is good with a can of Raid, though, so they should not trouble us any further.
Also, in cooperation with the neighbor on the other side, last weekend we live trapped a skunk. Following advice from one of my motorcycling friends who said "When you live trap a skunk do not put it in the trunk of your wife's car. DAMHIK,IJK,OK?" we refrained from putting it anyone's car - we hired someone to take it away, and it is gone. Hopefully the skunk won't have buddies coming to look for him here.
