More e-Reader stuff
I have joined a site called Distributed Proofreaders where they invite people to proofread the OCRs of scanned books, one page at a time. It's strangely satisfying to grab a page and fix it, every now and then whenever I am sitting on hold or whatever.
Or if you prefer to own one of these projects from start to finish, the MobileRead forum invites people to pick books and clean them up and format them, and put them up to share. But there's a steeper learning curve there; you have to figure out what software to use, get it all set up, and doing a whole book is a much bigger job.
Both sites offer cleaned up and well formatted books to download.
